CONCEPT KIT AJAX

Because I always wanted to become a sportswear designer, I made a shirt for Floor Wesseling. A designer which I much admire. This concept kit reflects my personality and how I like to design and work.

INTRODUCTION

Floor Wesseling designs football shirts to express a visual language in a new form and exhibits his collection of divided shirts internationally. He tells stories by combining different shirts. 

Stories about rivalry and cultural connections. About relations between countries, cities, clubs and of people and society. He also made a lot of football shirts for Nike.

INSPIRATION

I heard Floor talking in a podcast about his designs. He said it was his dream to make a shirt for Ajax one day. With the idea that he mainly gives shirts away, I wanted to get in touch with him and give him a shirt back. A shirt he always dreamed about. With this idea in mind I started designing.

CONCEPT

It shows my initiative, out of the box thinking and that I’m not afraid to approach someone. Making this shirt opened doors and gave me the opportunity to make the competition outfit for PEC Zwolle.

It has always been my dream to be a sportswear designer, and I hope to be one for Nike.
