SHIRT DESIGN
PEC ZWOLLE
During my internship at Craft Sportswear, I was given the opportunity to design the shirt of PEC Zwolle. A dream come true!
INTRODUCTION
Since I was a kid, it has been my dream to work for a sports brand. As a little boy I had great passion for football kits, which I was drawing often.
After spending less time designing soccer kits in my puberty, I reinvented my passion during my time in college.
I followed my dream (also shown in the pages Ajax concept shirt and Hey schijterd) and my effort paid off with the opportunity to make concepts for PEC Zwolle and KAA Gent. On this day it is still my dream to become a sportswear designer and I would love to do that for Nike.

INSPIRATION
With this great opportunity, I wanted to do more than only design a shirt. I wanted to make a shirt that pays a tribute to the city Zwolle.
I studied the roots of the city and the club, and I found some historical books in the “Historisch Centrum Overijssel”. I fell in love with the coat of arms of Zwolle that was pictured in stained windows in the “statenzaal”. From the first moment I knew I wanted to use this print in the shirt and create something that was not done before.
CONCEPT
The brief I received was to make a shirt that is based on the emerging trends of the 22/23 season. So, I also did research on fashion and color trends. In the end I came up with several concepts, which I presented to the company.
FINAL SHIRT
The reactions were very positive. In the final design of the shirt the color was changed to the well-known green of the club.
